Frosted IvyFrosted Ivy The 2021 Art Fair Season is upon us!!!  My schedule it a bit crazy this summer.  I hope to be able to attend a few shows in August, September & October.  I'll  be posting my schedule soon

I want to thank all those I have met over the last several years, the encouragement and comments have been wonderful.  In 2020 I plan on driving more back roads and seeking out barns in my travels.  There is such a rich history in each structure, some dating back over 100 years, others brand new.  I feel very strongly that the history of barns is really the history of the United States of America, every one has a unique story and it is my goal to capture as many as possible before they are gone to the big corporate pole barns.  Not that pole barns can't be beautiful, but in my opinion they lack the charm and craftsmanship that the wooden barns of the past have.  So as my adventure continues I hope you'll join me, visit me at the Art Fairs, and send me your comments.

The 2020 Vendor Season was a bit different this year, as we all dealt with COVID19.  I was able to attend only two vendor shows, Three French Hens Country Market in August, in Morris, IL.  Then Elmore Stock Farm Makers Market also in August in Elmore, IL.  I was grateful to be able to attend these and thoroughly enjoyed the interaction with all who attended.  Though 2020 presented challenges for vendor shows it did not prevent me from getting out and "barn hunting".  Be sure to check out the 2020 images in the Barns tab, and let me know what you think.

We look forward to 2021 and hopefully a little bit more of "back to normal"!

Stay safe, and thanks to all who have encouraged me this year.

The 2019 Art Fair Season is upon us!!!  I am excited to announce my limited schedule as follows:

Below is a list of shows that I will be attending throughout 2019.  I am excited to bring a new show to the art shows titled Barns & More, on Metal!  The images presented will be photos taken throughout my travels of barns in various states.  From the age old building technique of mortise and tenon to the modern pole barns, the history of barns for me is the story of America.  With each barn that is lost, whether it collapses or is dismantled, a part of our history is gone forever.  So I have embarked on a path to capture as many of these barns as possible.

Aluminum prints have quickly become my favorite medium to present photographs.  The process of making an aluminum photo includes infusing dyes directly into specially coated aluminum sheets.  With an aluminum print, the colors and details seem more alive.  Breathtaking actually, the images take on a depth that is unsurpassed with any other medium.

Most photos have been framed with authentic barn wood to add a weathered element and feel to the photograph.

I will be offering both framed and unframed works for sale or order.
